Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is currently in Thailand on an official visit at the invitation of Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra.
Before their formal meeting, Prime Minister Oli attended a welcome program organized by the Thai Prime Minister. This marks the first-ever official visit of a Nepali Prime Minister to Thailand.
The visit is expected to strengthen ties and cooperation between Nepal and Thailand. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both countries will sign an agreement focused on cultural and tourism collaboration. Additionally, six memoranda of understanding (MoUs) will be exchanged between various non-governmental and business organizations from Nepal and Thailand.
Following these agreements, the two Prime Ministers will address a joint press conference. Later in the day, Prime Minister Oli will attend a luncheon hosted by his Thai counterpart and also meet Thailand’s King, Maha Vajiralongkorn.
Prime Minister Oli is set to return to Nepal on April 5.
