Pokhara Paragliding Pilot Caught Flying Drunk

A paragliding pilot, Bishal Bahadur Kshetri, was arrested after he was found flying under the influence of alcohol and illegal drugs during a surprise safety inspection. The check was carried out at Mandredhunga, one of Pokhara’s most popular paragliding zones.

Out of 39 pilots tested, Kshetri was the only one who failed. Kaski Police confirmed the arrest and stated that he will face legal action under the Narcotics Control Act. Flying under the influence not only breaks the law but also puts lives at risk and harms Pokhara’s global image as a safe adventure tourism destination.

Authorities have promised to continue surprise checks to protect visitors and maintain high safety standards.
