Pokhara Thunders have brought in experienced coach Suman Shrestha to lead the team in the upcoming Nepal Super League (NSL) season. He was officially appointed on Saturday, with club president Jamling Ghale handing over the appointment letter.
Shrestha’s Reaction
Expressing his excitement, Shrestha said he was thrilled to be part of Pokhara Thunders and is determined to work hard for the team’s success. “I am very happy to join this club. My goal is to give my best and help the team lift the title,” he stated.
A Coach with Experience
Shrestha, who is also the head coach of Church Boys United, brings over 20 years of coaching experience. He has previously managed several ‘A’ Division clubs in Nepal and is known for his tactical approach.
Pokhara Thunders’ Past Performance
In the previous NSL season, Nabin Neupane was in charge of the team. Pokhara Thunders had a strong league phase, finishing at the top of the table with 15 points, but they were unable to make it to the final.
Welcoming Ceremony
The club organized a small event to introduce Shrestha as the new coach. Along with club officials, popular actor Anup Bikram Shahi was also present at the event. As a symbolic gesture, Shrestha handed over the club jersey to Anup.
With a new coach at the helm, Pokhara Thunders will be aiming to turn their strong performances into a championship win this season.
