Pokhara Thunders Get First Win in Nepal Super League 2025

Pokhara Thunders have secured their first win in the 2025 season of the Nepal Super League. In the third edition of the tournament, they defeated the first-season champions, Kathmandu RayZrs, by 2-0.

The match was held at the Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor. Stephen Samir Binong and Sudil Rai scored Pokhara’s goals.

Pokhara scored once in each half. Stephen Samir gave Pokhara the lead in the 25th minute. However, he missed a penalty in the 33rd minute, which was saved by Kathmandu’s goalkeeper Abhishek Baral.

Sudil Rai added the second goal for Pokhara in the 58th minute.

After losing their first two matches, Pokhara finally grabbed a win. They now have 3 points from 3 games and are in fourth place.

On the other hand, Kathmandu is still without a win after three matches. They had drawn their first two games, and this was their first loss. With 2 points from 3 matches, Kathmandu has dropped to sixth place.
