Bollywood actress Preity Zinta has strongly condemned the Congress party’s Kerala wing for spreading false claims about her. The controversy began when Congress Kerala accused her of getting an ₹18 crore loan written off after giving her social media accounts to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In response, Zinta clarified that the loan was fully paid off over 10 years ago and that she personally manages her social media accounts.

Expressing her surprise at a political party promoting fake news, Preity Zinta shared her frustration on social media. She wrote, “No one wrote off anything or any loan for me. I’m shocked that a political party or their representative is promoting fake news & indulging in vile gossip.” Zinta further emphasized that her loan was paid off in full over a decade ago, calling for an end to the spread of misinformation.
