Preity Zinta recently immersed herself in the spiritual atmosphere of the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, sharing her emotional experience with fans on social media. While her visit was a deeply spiritual and magical journey, the actor admitted it also brought some feelings of sadness.
In a heartfelt post, Preity shared a video montage of her visit, featuring moments from temple visits, taking a dip at Triveni Sangam, and offering prayers at Saraswati Koop. Reflecting on the experience, she wrote, “This was my third time at the Kumbh Mela and it was magical, heartwarming, and a bit sad.”
Preity explained the emotional duality she felt: “Magical because no matter how hard I try, I cannot explain how I felt. Heartwarming because I went with my mom, and it meant the world to her. Sad, because I wanted to be liberated from the cycles of life and death, but realized the strong attachments I have to my family and loved ones. Am I ready to let go? No, I’m not!”
She went on to reflect on the personal journey of spirituality: “It’s deeply humbling when you realize that the strings of attachment are strong, but the spiritual journey ahead is solo.”
Preity ended her post with a philosophical thought: “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience, but spiritual beings having a human experience.” She expressed confidence that her curiosity would lead her toward the answers she seeks and concluded with a message of faith, “हर हर महादेव.”
The Maha Kumbh Mela, which started on January 13, 2025, will conclude on February 26. Several other Bollywood stars, including Akshay Kumar, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, and more, have also visited the Mela in recent days.
