A pressure cooker bomb was found at the campus of Universal College of Medical Sciences in Bhairahawa, and the Nepal Army safely deactivated it.

This morning, around 10:30, the college’s gardener spotted the bomb while cutting a tree. He immediately informed the local authorities.

According to Police Spokesperson DSP Suraj Karki from the Rupandehi District Police Office, the bomb was old and rusted. The Nepal Army exploded it safely.

The investigation is ongoing, and it is still unclear who placed the bomb and when. The pressure cooker had a clock battery and other devices attached to it with a rope.
