A dialogue from the 26th episode of the popular comedy show Comedy Durbar has been removed from YouTube following a complaint. The episode featured actors Sagar Lamsal, Arjun Ghimire, and Mahesh Tripathi, who appeared to promote the film Laaj Sharanam.

The Controversial Dialogue

During the episode, artist Sundar Khanal performed a caricature of the well-known character ‘Bale’. At one point, he delivered the line, “Malai Tiktoker Phapdaina” (I don’t like TikTokers), imitating Bale’s accent. Sagar Lamsal burst into laughter and even fainted, while Arjun Ghimire encouraged a repeat of the line by saying, “Once more”.

Line Removed After Complaint

Despite the scene going viral, the dialogue is now missing from the episode, which has been viewed 1.4 million times. According to sources, TikTok influencer Prisma Khatiwada filed a complaint with the Cyber Bureau, prompting action against the show. Following the complaint, the show’s director, producer, Sundar Khanal, and other team members visited the Cyber Bureau on Sunday for discussions. As a result, the line was removed from the episode.

Interestingly, the dialogue did not mention any specific TikToker’s name. However, a formal complaint was still registered against the show and its artists, leading to the edit.

Prisma Khatiwada’s Response

Khatiwada expressed strong discontent over the joke made about her on Comedy Durbar. She took to TikTok to share her frustration, hinting that she felt deeply hurt by the remarks. Reports surfaced on Friday stating that she had filed a complaint against certain individuals associated with the show. The next day, she posted a TikTok video with the caption:

“May God give back to everyone twice what they gave me—whether it’s love or ruin.”

In the video, she appeared visibly upset, leading many to speculate that her reaction was directed at the show.

Police Investigation and Complaint Status

Nepal’s Cyber Bureau spokesperson, SP Deepak Raj Awasthi, stated that he had no official information regarding the complaint. However, investigation officers confirmed that Khatiwada had visited the bureau for legal consultation but was advised to file her complaint at the Kathmandu District Police Office instead.

According to SP Apil Raj Bohora, spokesperson for Kathmandu District Police, Khatiwada officially filed her complaint on Sunday, though he did not disclose the names mentioned in it.
