Priyanka Chopra is gearing up for the release of her action-comedy film Heads of State, and the love and support from her family in India has made this moment even more special for her. While she’s currently in the US for promotional events and personal engagements, her loved ones back home ensured they showed their pride by hosting a private screening of her film.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Priyanka shared her joy and a hint of longing as she reposted a picture of her family watching Heads of State. The photo featured her mother Madhu Chopra, brother Siddharth Chopra, and sister-in-law Neelam Upadhyaya. Expressing her feelings, Priyanka wrote, “(Smiling face with hearts) when your family hosts a screening back home. FOMO. Miss you all.” She also tagged each of them in the heartfelt post.
Meanwhile, Priyanka made the most of her Saturday in the US by catching up with fellow South Asian trailblazers—Pakistani-Canadian filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy and acclaimed Indian-American director Mira Nair. Joined by her longtime manager and friend Anjula Acharia, Priyanka posed for selfies and group photos, sharing a glimpse into their afternoon meet-up.
In one of the pictures, she wrote, “A wonderful afternoon spent in August company ❤️,” while in another selfie with Sharmeen and Mira, she exclaimed in Hindi, “Mazaaaaaa ayaaa (Had so much fun).” Anjula also took to Instagram, posting the same photo with the caption “#borderlessbunch.” For the casual gathering, Priyanka wore a stylish blue co-ord set.

On the work front, Heads of State, directed by Ilya Naishuller, is set to premiere on Prime Video on July 2. The film stars Priyanka alongside Hollywood heavyweights John Cena and Idris Elba in what promises to be an action-packed comedy.
Beyond this project, Priyanka is also set to star as a 19th-century Caribbean pirate in The Bluff. Additionally, fans eagerly await her return in Citadel Season 2, although its release has been pushed to spring 2026. She’s also rumored to be a part of SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film with Mahesh Babu.
