Indigenous communities from Pathibhara, Taplejung, staged a protest in Kathmandu on Monday against the construction of a cable car in the area.
They are protesting because a private company, led by Chandra Dhakal, was permitted to build the cable car without consulting the local people.
As part of the ongoing movement, a symbolic demonstration was held at Maitighar Mandala, featuring a street play reenacting the clash that occurred in Pathibhara on Magh 12.
On that day, four people were injured after being shot during a confrontation between locals and police while protesting the cable car project.
The Mukkumlung Tangsepa Chumbo and Mukkumlung Conservation Inter-Party Struggle Committee organized the protest in Kathmandu against what they call an encroachment on their land.
