Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi Becomes Highest-Grossing Nepali Movie Ever

Kathmandu – The blockbuster movie ‘Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi’ has officially become the highest-grossing Nepali film of all time. Starring Bijay Baral, the film not only celebrated 100 days in theaters but also achieved record-breaking earnings before concluding its theatrical run.

How Much Did the Film Earn?

Many movie lovers are curious about the official lifetime earnings of the film. According to the Central Management Ticket System (Box Office) under the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, the movie recorded a gross collection of NPR 46.80 crore from ticket sales.

However, distributor Bankates Entertainment previously announced that the movie had earned over NPR 49 crore, though they have not provided further updates.

International Box Office Success

‘Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi’ was not just a hit in Nepal—it also performed exceptionally well in international markets. The film is estimated to have earned over NPR 25 crore overseas, making it a historic success for Nepali cinema.

A Record-Breaking Film

Directed by Saroj Poudel, the film tells an emotional story about a father and child, touching the hearts of many viewers. Not only is it the highest-grossing Nepali film of 2081 BS, but it has also set a new record in the six-decade-long history of Nepali cinema as the most successful domestic film ever.
