Rabi Lamichhane, the president of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), who has been sent to jail, has conveyed four messages through his close aides. After reaching the jail at Rupandehi District Court on Monday, Lamichhane‘s messages were made public by leaders close to him.
“I respect the court’s order. I will exercise the rights granted by law,” Lamichhane said in the message. “I will follow the process of appealing to a higher court against the lower court’s decision.”
He expressed his belief that injustice will not occur from the temple of justice. He added, “However, various suspicions have been raised and are being raised — those should be proven wrong.”
Lamichhane also urged party leaders to keep the party united and to continue their campaign.
“If possible, strengthen it. Even if not, do not weaken it. Take the campaign among the people,” he told the leaders.
Claiming that he is facing political revenge, he warned that everyone’s turn will come.
“Right now, I am facing political revenge. Everyone’s turn will come,” Lamichhane said. “I am the first student of this test. Just like me, others will also have to face the test.”
