“I couldn’t even watch the entire second innings,” he says with a laugh, still reeling from last night’s rollercoaster. “I’d peek whenever a wicket fell, celebrate, and then walk away out of sheer nervousness!”
Now, just hours away from performing in front of a jubilant hometown crowd, Raghu is buzzing. “We played at the stadium last year and the energy was insane. But this — this is going to be on a whole different level. I just hope I don’t forget the lyrics in all the excitement,” he chuckles.
RCB’s historic triumph came in a nail-biting final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Batting first, the team posted a competitive 190/9, with Virat Kohli anchoring the innings with a gritty 43 off 35 balls. Despite a strong fight from Punjab Kings, RCB’s bowlers held their nerve, sealing a six-run win and sending fans into a frenzy.
