Rajendra Tamang has been reappointed as the head coach of the Nepal women’s national football team. He will lead the team in upcoming friendlies against Thailand and the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 qualifiers.
Appointment Confirmed by ANFA
The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) General Secretary, Kiran Rai, officially handed over the appointment letter to Rajendra Tamang. Under his leadership, Nepal has played in the WAFF Championship, SAFF Championship, and the Four Nations Cup—finishing as runners-up in all three.
Coaching Staff Get Extension
Assistant coach Bhagwati Thapa, goalkeeping coach Suraj Kumar Lama, and team manager Vrinda Devkota have also been given extensions in their respective roles. Their consistent presence aims to bring stability to the team.
New Physio Appointed
Lakshmi Bhattarai has been appointed as the new physiotherapist for the women’s national team, joining the staff to boost the players’ physical conditioning and recovery.
ANFA Plans Pro License Coach for the First Time
ANFA has started the process to appoint a Pro License coach for the women’s team for the first time in history. Until then, Rajendra Tamang will continue in the role.
