Superstar Rajinikanth is all set to return to the big screen with Coolie, an intense action-drama hitting theatres on August 14. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures, the film will clash at the box office with the much-awaited War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR.
Excitingly, reports confirm that Coolie has already bagged its OTT deal and will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video just eight weeks after its theatrical release. The film is also expected to get an IMAX release, adding to the cinematic experience for fans.

According to Letterboxd, the film follows Deva, a former gold smuggler once feared by all, who sets out to reclaim his lost glory. Packed with action, nostalgia, and underworld drama, Coolie promises a gripping tale of redemption and rebellion.
The film boasts a powerful ensemble cast featuring Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Reba Monica John, Junior MGR, and Monisha Blessy, with a special cameo by Aamir Khan as Dahaa.
