On Wednesday, Rajkummar and Patralekhaa made the announcement on Instagram. In a heartfelt joint post, they wrote, “Baby on the way,” sending their fans and friends into a wave of joy and congratulations.
From long-time lovers to parents-to-be
Rajkummar and Patralekhaa have known each other for 15 years. They dated for over a decade and tied the knot on November 15, 2021. Now, they’re getting ready to welcome a new member into their family.
Speaking with Hindustan Times, Rajkummar shared, “We are absolutely thrilled. Many of our friends who are already parents have told us that this will be the most beautiful phase of life. We’re really looking forward to it. Honestly, it’s still sinking in.”
He added, “We still ask each other, ‘Is this really happening?’ It’s a beautiful feeling.”
Travelling together with their baby-to-be
The couple recently took their first trip with their baby on the way. Rajkummar revealed that they traveled to New Zealand together while Patralekhaa was pregnant. It turned into a meaningful and emotional experience.
“It wasn’t just a regular trip—it was our first one with our upcoming family member,” he said. “We’ve always traveled a lot, but this time it felt different. It was more about being present, spending quiet moments together, and soaking in nature.”
He added, “Usually, we rush and plan everything. But this time, it was peaceful. We just sat for hours, enjoying the surroundings and each other’s company.”
