Operation Khukri is based on a real military operation carried out by the Indian Army in Sierra Leone, West Africa. In the year 2000, over 230 Indian peacekeeping soldiers were taken hostage by rebel forces in the war-torn region. The daring rescue mission that followed is considered one of the boldest operations in Indian military history.

Randeep to Play a Brave Army Commander

In the film, Randeep Hooda will play the role of Major General Rajpal Punia, who was then a company commander leading the rescue. This role will show his courage, leadership, and strategy that helped save the trapped soldiers.
