Ranveer’s return comes after his apology for offensive comments made during an episode of India’s Got Latent, a YouTube reality show hosted by Samay Raina. His remarks about women, parents, and sex caused an uproar. Many people found his jokes vulgar and offensive. As a result, several FIRs were filed against him. The Supreme Court granted Ranveer interim protection from arrest but criticized his comments, calling them “vulgar” and stating he had a “dirty mind.”

In response to the controversy, Ranveer issued a written apology to the National Commission for Women (NCW), acknowledging that his comments were inappropriate and not funny.
