The chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party(Raswapa), Rabi Lamichhane, has demanded the revocation of his suspension, stating that he has been released from custody after paying bail.
On Friday, before the meeting of the House of Representatives, Lamichhane visited the Federal Parliament Secretariat in Singha Durbar and submitted a petition to Speaker Devaraj Ghimire, requesting the revocation of his suspension.
Lamichhane was granted bail by the Kaski District Court in a case related to cooperative fraud, organized crime, and money laundering, with a bail amount set at NPR 6.5 million.
In the case involving the Swarnalaxmi Cooperative Savings misappropriation, the Kathmandu District Court also ordered Lamichhane’s release on a bail of NPR 6 million.
Additionally, in the case of misappropriation related to Rupandehi’s Supreme Cooperative Savings, the Rupandehi District Court ordered Lamichhane’s release on a bail of NPR 10 million.
After Lamichhane faced charges in a money laundering case, the Federal Parliament Secretariat issued a notice on paush 8, suspending his membership in the House of Representatives.
