Red Velvet’s Yeri is making a new start in her acting journey under her real name, Kim Yerim. On May 1, Blitzway Entertainment officially announced that Kim Yerim has signed an exclusive contract with the agency.
Blitzway CEO Hong Min Ki expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We are excited to start this journey with Kim Yerim, who has demonstrated her artistic growth both at home and abroad. Our team will offer unwavering support to help her talent and experience shine in various acting projects.”
Previously known as Blitzway Studios, the agency recently rebranded as Blitzway Entertainment to focus more on content development. Its roster includes several well-known actors, such as Ju Ji Hoon, Chun Woo Hee, Jung Ryeo Won, Moon Chae Won, Woo Do Hwan, Kwak Dong Yeon, and Yoon Bak.
To celebrate the signing, the agency unveiled new profile photos of Kim Yerim, showcasing a fresh and sophisticated image as she embarks on this next phase of her career.
Kim Yerim debuted with Red Velvet in 2015 and began acting in 2021. She has since appeared in dramas including Mint Condition, Blue Birthday, and BITCH X RICH.
Earlier in April, both Yeri and fellow Red Velvet member Wendy chose not to renew their contracts with SM Entertainment. Despite this, SM has confirmed that both idols will remain part of Red Velvet’s future group activities.
