Ronth OTT Release Confirmed: Watch the Police Drama on JioHotstar This July

Ronth OTT Release- After impressing audiences in theatres, the Malayalam-language police drama Ronth is now making its way to OTT. Starring Roshan Mathew and Dileesh Pothan, the gripping film released in cinemas on June 13, 2025, and is now ready for its digital debut.

Streaming details confirmed

From July 22, 2025, Ronth will start streaming on JioHotstar, the platform confirmed via a post on X (formerly Twitter):

“Ready for Night-Patrol! Ronth will be streaming from 22 July.”

While originally made in Malayalam, viewers will also be able to enjoy the film in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada dubbed versions.

A slow-burn thriller from Shahi Kabir

Directed and written by Shahi Kabir, known for his acclaimed film Nayattu, Ronth dives into the lives of two cops on a tense night patrol.

The story follows Yohannan, a seasoned officer nearing retirement, and Dinnath, a young recruit on his first assignment. What starts as a routine patrol soon unfolds into a night full of silent dangers, emotional tests, and moral conflicts.

As the night deepens, so does the bond between the two officers—forcing them to confront hidden fears, unspoken truths, and their sworn duty to uphold justice.

A fresh take on the crime-drama genre

Ronth stands out for its quiet intensity. It doesn’t rely on fast-paced action but builds suspense through mood, character depth, and the psychological toll of policing. The film also subtly explores themes like institutional fatigue, the weight of responsibility, and ethical gray areas.

Strong cast and technical crew

Along with the lead duo, the film also stars Arun Cherukavil, Roshan Abdul Rahoof, Krisha Kurup, Lakshmi Menon, and Carmen S. Mathew. Notably, Sudhi Koppa and Rajesh Madhavan make brief but impactful cameo appearances.

The film’s technical strength is backed by:

  • Music: Anil Johnson
  • Cinematography: Manesh Madhavan
  • Editing: Praveen Mangalath
