Nepali Student Sacheena Shrestha Died in Canada

A terrible road accident has taken the life of 22-year-old Sacheena Shrestha, a Nepali student living in Canada. Sacheena had come to Canada to follow her dreams, and she was known for her warm smile, kindness, and determination. Her sudden death has left her family, friends, and the Nepali community in shock and deep sadness.

The accident happened on the evening of December 8, 2024, around 8 PM, when Sacheena was crossing a road at a zebra crossing in London, Ontario. The weather was foggy, making it hard to see clearly. A pick-up truck hit her, causing severe injuries to her head. Emergency responders immediately took her to Victoria Hospital, where doctors performed an emergency surgery to reduce swelling in her brain. They worked hard to save her life, but her condition remained critical.

Sacheena was kept alive on a ventilator while her family in Nepal tried to secure visas to be with her. After facing many difficulties, her parents arrived in Canada on December 25, 2024. Sadly, the next day, on December 26, at 8 PM, doctors removed her from the ventilator, and she passed away.

To help her family during this difficult time, a fundraiser has been set up. The money collected will be used to pay for her funeral and memorial services, support her parents financially, and handle any legal and administrative expenses related to the accident. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, December 31, at 11:30 AM at AMG Funeral Home in London, Ontario.

The community is coming together to support Sacheena’s family. Even small contributions can make a big difference in helping them during this challenging time. If you are unable to donate, sharing the fundraiser page with others can also help.

Sacheena was a kind and hardworking person who touched the lives of many people. Her loss is deeply felt by everyone who knew her. Her family has expressed their gratitude to everyone who has offered support and comfort. This tragic loss is a reminder of how precious life is and how much a single person can mean to others.
