Salman Khan Cancels Supercross Launch
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was set to launch the Indian Supercross Racing League, but the event has now been cancelled. While Salman has not spoken directly, a press note from the event’s organizers confirmed the decision.
Ishan Lokhande, founder of the racing league, said:
“As we all process this deeply saddening news, Indian Supercross Racing League and Salman Khan stand with the nation in grief. Our prayers and condolences are with the affected families.”
Vishnu Manchu Delays ‘Kannappa’ Trailer
South Indian actor Vishnu Manchu was all set to unveil the trailer of his film ‘Kannappa’ on June 13 in Indore. However, in light of the tragic incident, the trailer launch and the pre-release event have been postponed by a day.
Sharing his grief on X (formerly Twitter), Vishnu wrote:
“My heart breaks for those who lost their lives in today’s Air India tragedy in Ahmedabad. We are mourning. The Kannappa trailer release is postponed by a day, and tomorrow’s pre-release event in Indore is cancelled.”
Rana Naidu Screening Called Off
The team behind Netflix India’s ‘Rana Naidu’ Season 2, featuring Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh, has also decided to cancel its scheduled screening. The event was supposed to take place at Chitra Cinema, Dadar East in Mumbai.
In an official statement, the team said:
“In light of the tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad, we have decided to cancel the screening. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those impacted by this heartbreaking event.”
The event was expected to host actors like Surveen Chawla, Arjun Rampal, Kriti Kharbanda, and Sushant Singh alongside the lead cast.
