Actor Sambhavna Seth recently met with Sana Khan to film for her upcoming podcast. During their interaction, which was shared in Sambhavna’s vlog, Sana made a controversial remark about Sambhavna’s outfit, suggesting she wear a burqa. This comment quickly gained attention online and sparked backlash.
In the vlog, shared six days ago, Sambhavna and Sana reminisced about their time on Bigg Boss, playfully recalling their past conflicts and good-natured moments. When Sana noticed Sambhavna wearing a yellow kurta, she asked if she was planning to change. Sambhavna declined, but Sana proceeded to criticize her outfit, jokingly suggesting that she should wear a burqa. “Tere paas ek acchi salwar kameez nahi hai… thappad chahiye? Where is your dupatta? Burqa laao… Sambhavna ko burqa pehnao” (You don’t have a good salwar kameez… Want a slap? Where is your dupatta? Bring a burqa… Make Sambhavna wear a burqa), Sana said while laughing.
Sambhavna responded, explaining that she had gained around 15 kg and was unable to find a fitting outfit. She said, “It’s fine. People will focus on what we say, not on our clothes. People will love us for who we are.” Despite this, Sana continued to suggest alternatives like a kimono or jacket.
Sana’s comments sparked outrage on social media, with many users criticizing her for imposing her personal views on Sambhavna’s attire. One comment read, “If Sana wants people to accept her culture and dressing sense, then she should also respect others for who they are. Very regressive.” Others pointed out that it was rude and unnecessary for Sana to tell Sambhavna how to dress, with one comment saying, “It was a little rude of her to tell you to cover up, like it’s your choice to wear whatever you like.”
Sana Khan, who left her acting career behind after marrying Anas Saiyad in November 2020, has since focused on her podcast, Raunak-e-Ramadan.
