Bollywood’s trend of re-releasing films has gained significant momentum, with Sanam Teri Kasam being the latest film to capitalize on this revival. Initially released in 2016, the romantic drama had a modest box office run, but its re-release has sparked newfound interest, leading to impressive box office numbers and setting fresh records.
After its re-release, Sanam Teri Kasam has shown a steady increase in box office earnings. Although it had a slow start on its opening day, the film has seen consistent growth over the week. According to Bollywood Movie Review, the film earned approximately ₹2.5 to ₹2.75 crore on its fifth day. The movie, which had a production budget of ₹25 crore, initially earned just ₹9 crore when it was first released. However, following its re-release, Sanam Teri Kasam has now surpassed the ₹20 crore mark, not only recouping its budget but also earning a profit of ₹3 crore.
A key figure behind the film’s successful re-release is actor Harshvardhan Rane. Recognizing the increasing demand from fans, Rane pushed the producers to bring the film back to cinemas. Confident that the film would now receive a better response, his belief was vindicated. Overwhelmed by the film’s renewed success, Harshvardhan has been expressing his gratitude to the fans on social media, celebrating their enduring love and support.
