Filmmaker Sanoj Mishra, known for his upcoming project The Diary of Manipur, has filed an FIR against five individuals, including a YouTube channel owner, accusing them of attempting to damage his reputation and undermine his film. The film stars internet sensation Monalisa Bhosle, also known as the ‘viral girl’ from the Mahakumbh, who was discovered while selling garlands at the event.
Mishra alleges that the accused have been spreading false rumors about the film’s budget and his past projects, with one even claiming that his previous films were never released and that he intended to ruin Monalisa’s career. In his complaint, Mishra asserts that the misinformation is part of a deliberate effort to derail The Diary of Manipur and harm his image.
The FIR has been lodged at the Amboli police station in Mumbai, and the investigation is currently underway. Mishra has dismissed the claims as baseless and believes the goal is to prevent the completion of his project, which is generating significant excitement, especially with Monalisa making her debut in a lead role.
Monalisa, who gained fame after being filmed at the Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj, is transitioning from her previous role selling garlands to a career in acting with Mishra’s film.
