A man died and a woman was injured in a scooter accident that occurred on Sunday morning along the Dhangadhi–Attariya road section near Mohanpur, Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City–13.
Victim Identified as Chhotelal Chaudhary
The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Chotelal Chaudhary of Manehara, Dhangadhi–7. He was riding a scooter (Sudurpashchim Province 01012 Pa 4648) heading toward Attariya when he lost control and hit the road divider around 6:30 AM.
Chaudhary was seriously injured and rushed to Maya Metro Hospital in Dhangadhi, where he was pronounced dead by doctors.
Female Passenger Injured
A woman riding with him, 32-year-old Sita Kushmi from Dhangadhi–12, was also injured in the crash. She is currently receiving treatment at Maya Metro Hospital.
Investigation Ongoing
According to DSP Rajkumar Singh, spokesperson of Kailali District Police, an investigation into the accident is ongoing to determine the cause in detail.
