Shah Rukh Khan and his family are temporarily moving out of their iconic Mumbai bungalow, Mannat, for a major renovation project that will begin in May. The Bollywood superstar and his family, including wife Gauri and children Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam, will relocate to a luxury apartment in Bandra’s Pali Hill area during this time.
The renovation, which includes a long-planned extension, has received legal approval, as Mannat is a Grade III heritage structure. Shah Rukh’s new residence will be in the high-end Puja Casa building, where he has leased four floors. The rental agreement, valued at Rs. 24 lakh per month, was signed by Shah Rukh’s Red Chillies Entertainment with the building’s owner, Vashu Bhagnani’s family. The apartment will house the Khan family, their staff, security personnel, and office space.
The lease is set for three years, but the family may stay for up to two years, depending on how long the renovation of Mannat takes. Fans will eagerly await the completion of the transformation before Shah Rukh and his family return to their famous home.
