Aranyer Din Ratri has been beautifully restored in 4K, a project that took six years to complete under the leadership of American filmmaker Wes Anderson. The restoration effort began in 2019, initiated by Anderson’s involvement with Martin Scorsese’s The Film Foundation. The project saw collaboration between several prestigious organizations, including the World Cinema Project, Film Heritage Foundation, Janus Films, and The Criterion Collection, with funding support from the Golden Globe Foundation.
