The Kochi City Police conducted the raid at a hotel in the Ernakulam district, specifically targeting Chacko. According to reports, when officers knocked on Room 314, the actor allegedly noticed them and escaped through a window. The District Anti-Narcotic Special Action Force (DANSAF) led the operation. CCTV footage of the escape has surfaced online and is now under review.
Complaint by Vincy Aloshious Triggered Action
The raid comes shortly after actress Vincy Aloshious filed a formal complaint against Shine Tom Chacko with the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA). Vincy accused Chacko of inappropriate behavior during the filming of Soothravakyam, claiming he was under the influence of drugs at the time.

She said, “When I had a minor costume issue, he offered to ‘fix it’ in front of everyone,” and also alleged seeing him exhale a white, powdery substance during rehearsal. Her bold statement came as a response to online criticism accusing her of attention-seeking, to which she replied, “This is about drawing boundaries at work, not personal gain.”
