Actor Shoaib Ibrahim recently shared the first photo with his wife Dipika Kakar following her surgery for stage two liver cancer. Dipika underwent an intense 14-hour surgery, and Shoaib took to Instagram Stories to post a heartfelt picture of the two from the hospital room.
In the image, only their hands are visible, each holding envelopes, with Dipika resting on the hospital bed and Shoaib sitting beside her. Alongside the photo, Shoaib wrote, “Dipi aur mere liye papa ki taraf se eidi aayee (Eidi for me and Dipika from dad) ❤️ Eid Mubarak 🤗.”
Shoaib has been regularly updating fans about Dipika’s health journey. On his YouTube channel, he recently posted a detailed video explaining that Dipika was recovering well after the surgery, which started in the morning and concluded just before midnight. He shared that doctors advised Dipika to remain hospitalized for three to five days due to the complexity of the procedure.
During the surgery, doctors removed Dipika’s gall bladder and a small part of her liver, where the tumor was located. Shoaib reassured fans by explaining that the liver has the ability to regenerate, and the tumor was successfully taken out. He also mentioned that the gall bladder was removed due to a stone.
Earlier, Dipika had revealed on Instagram that she was diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer and described the tumor as being the size of a tennis ball.
