A serious accident took place on the set of the movie ‘Airi’, which has been filming in the Dhorpatan area for almost a month. During an action scene, actor Sonam Topden broke his left leg, leading to a halt in the shooting schedule.
Sonam shared the news on social media, posting an X-ray of his injury on Facebook. He wrote, “While shooting a fight scene, I broke my left leg. This is probably the most painful and scary moment of my life. I’m now healing slowly with prayer and patience.”
After the accident, Sonam was flown by helicopter to Charak Memorial Hospital in Nagdhunga, Pokhara, where he has been receiving treatment for a week. According to reports, the injury occurred when co-actor Pradeep Khadka jumped from a tree and accidentally kicked Sonam’s leg.
Doctors say it will take at least six months for him to recover, making his return to filming uncertain for now.
This accident has also delayed his next movie, ‘Jalaki’, which was supposed to start filming in Bhadra. It will now be pushed back by a few months.
Sonam started his acting journey with ‘Samhalinchha Kahile Man’ and gained fame with last year’s hit film ‘Shambala’.
