Actor Sudhanshu Pandey has openly criticized Apoorva Mukhija, popularly known as The Rebel Kid, for her casual and disrespectful comments about veteran actor Ashish Vidyarthi on the reality show The Traitors. Sudhanshu found her tone far from “cool,” deeming it highly inappropriate.
Sudhanshu, who made his reality TV debut with The Traitors, shared his thoughts during a recent Instagram live session. He was responding to Apoorva’s comment on the show where she said, “Ashish jaayega” (I think Ashish will go).
Expressing his disapproval, Sudhanshu questioned whether Ashish was Apoorva’s childhood friend, given how casually she spoke about him. He emphasized that such a tone from the younger generation reflects poorly and is “not cool at all.”
He explained, “Apoorva, who goes by The Rebel Kid, has been involved in enough controversies. I’m not saying she’s a bad person — she’s a good kid with a good heart. But when your language becomes disrespectful, it spoils everything. If you don’t know how to speak about seniors properly, everything else falls apart.”
Sudhanshu further added, “Ashish bhai — Ashish Vidyarthi — is a senior actor, senior even to me. And behind his back, Apoorva was saying, ‘I feel Ashish will go.’ What kind of way is this to talk about people older than your parents? Is this Gen Z’s idea of cool? I’m sorry, but this is not cool at all. It’s the biggest nonsense and a curse on our society.”
He also drew from his personal life, mentioning that even his own Gen Z children are respectful towards others. “So, I think there are serious issues here,” he concluded.
About The Traitors
The Traitors is the Indian adaptation of a popular Dutch reality show, hosted by Karan Johar. The show features twenty contestants, including Uorfi Javed, Apoorva Mukhija, Anshula Kapoor, Raftaar, Raj Kundra, Sahil Salathia, Lakshi Manchu, and Karan Kundrra. The participants are divided into Traitors and Faithful in this murder mystery packed with suspense. The show premiered on Prime Video on June 12. Raj Kundra was the first contestant eliminated after Apoorva exposed him as a traitor. In the fourth episode released on June 19, Maheep Kapoor was voted out following suspicions around her and Raftaar during the group’s deliberations.
