The second episode, titled Old Man Hanrahan, will see Ted turning to Amanda for help with a new prosecutor in Lester’s murder trial. Meanwhile, Erica and Rick clash over a client, and Stuart and Samantha argue about Rick’s future in the firm. Flashbacks show Ted struggling to recover after losing an important witness.
Are Suits LA and Suits Connected?
Yes, even though Suits LA is set in Los Angeles with a fresh cast, the series exists within the same universe as Suits. Originally, creator Aaron Korsh had envisioned the show as a talent agency drama rather than a legal one. However, the success of Suits when it hit Netflix in 2023 led NBC to suggest the spin-off be linked to the original series.
Korsh was on board with the idea, saying, “They were like, ‘Look, if we bring this script into the ‘Suits’ universe, we can do it.’ And I thought it was a great idea.”
Gabriel Macht’s Return as Harvey Specter
A key connection between the two shows is the return of Gabriel Macht as Harvey Specter. Macht confirmed his appearance in Suits LA with a teaser Instagram video showing the initials “HS” on his cuff, hinting at Harvey’s return. His character, a former New York federal prosecutor like Ted, will appear in a three-episode arc, offering his help to Ted. Fans can also expect other familiar faces to make appearances, with Macht hinting that more characters from the original Suits could pop up.
Could More Suits Stars Appear in Future Seasons?
There’s speculation that Suits favorites, like Patrick J. Adams’ Mike Ross, could join the spin-off in future seasons. Adams has expressed interest, saying both he and co-star Sarah Rafferty (Donna Paulsen) are ready to return when the series finds its footing.
