Suresh Chunar Honored by NSC Member-Secretary Ghising

Suresh Chunar, who clinched the bronze medal at the UWW Asian Belt Wrestling Championship, was honored by the National Sports Council (NSC) of Nepal on Wednesday.

Member-Secretary of NSC, Tanka Lal Ghising, met Suresh in his office at Tripureshwar and congratulated him for his outstanding performance. He also wished him success in his future endeavors.

Nepali Wrestlers Compete in New Delhi

The UWW Asian Belt Wrestling Championship was held in New Delhi, India, from May 21 to 26. Three male wrestlers represented Nepal in the competition. Among them, only Suresh Chunar managed to secure a medal, while Sujit Yadav and Ramkishor Yadav went medal-less.

Officials Present During the Congratulations Event

Several sports officials and representatives were present during the congratulatory event. This included Nepal Wrestling Association President Prakash Kumar Kusari, General Secretary Khagendra Basnet, National Team Director Deepak Bista, and Head Coach Mumtaz Ali Idrisi.

Their presence highlighted the importance of Suresh Chunar’s bronze-winning achievement at the UWW Asian Belt Wrestling Championship and the bright future of wrestling in Nepal.
