Star couple Suriya and Jyotika had a proud parenting moment as their daughter Diya graduated from high school recently. Jyotika shared glimpses of the special day on Instagram, capturing the joy and pride of the entire family.
In one heartfelt post, Jyotika posed with Diya, who was dressed in a blue graduation gown and cap, writing, “Tassle worth the hassle! Proud of you girl!” Another cheerful photo featured Suriya joining them, both parents beaming with pride alongside their daughter. Jyotika also included moments with Diya’s grandparents — Sivakumar, Lakshmi, Chander Sadanah, and Seema — all gathered to celebrate the milestone. She took the opportunity to thank Diya’s teachers for their role in her success.

Fans quickly took to social media to discuss the occasion — and something else that caught their eye. One user on X (formerly Twitter) claimed Jyotika had briefly posted another photo of Suriya from the same event but took it down soon after. “GUYS! Jyotika posted both these stories from her daughter’s graduation but Suriya has different looks… She deleted the second one immediately. What is HAPPENING!!!” The post sparked speculation that the deleted picture might have inadvertently revealed Suriya’s look from a potential upcoming film, possibly Singham 4.
On the Work Front
Suriya’s latest film Retro (2025), directed by Karthik Subbaraj, received mixed reactions, though the actor’s performance was widely appreciated. This came after the underwhelming Kanguva in 2024. He’s now gearing up for new projects with directors RJ Balaji and Venky Atluri.
Jyotika, meanwhile, has been making waves across industries. She impressed with her Malayalam film Kaathal – The Core in 2023 and returned to Hindi cinema with Shaitaan and Srikanth in 2024. This year, she starred in Netflix’s Dabba Cartel and is currently filming for a Prime Video project helmed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari.
As proud parents and successful actors, Suriya and Jyotika have a lot to celebrate — both personally and professionally.
