A suspicious object found in front of the Itahari Sub-Metropolitan Office in Sunsari has been safely neutralized by a team from the Nepal Army.
This morning, the police received information about bombs being placed in three locations, including in front of the sub-metropolitan office. A black bag was found near the office, and the army team disposed of the object. According to the police, the suspicious item was a pressure cooker wrapped with wires.
The police were also informed that bombs had been placed near Bhotepul and under the Budhi Khola bridge, both in Sunsari. However, no suspicious objects were found at Bhotepul. Police are still searching for the person responsible for placing the objects.
At the Budhi Khola bridge, a bag was found, but it only contained old clothes, according to DSP Bedprakash Joshi from the Morang police.
