Taaltalaiya FC Wins the Altitude Running Cup 2081

The second edition of the Altitude Running Cup Football Tournament 2081, organized by Club Altitude Itahari-2, Sunsari, concluded with a thrilling final where Taaltalaiya Football Club of Sunsari emerged as the champions.

In the final match held at Panchayan Ground, Bijay Urau scored a brace, leading Taaltalaiya to victory. In the 5th minute, Sijal Rai provided an assist, allowing Bijay Urau to open the scoring and give his team an early lead. Then, in the 44th minute of the second half, Ares Chaudhary assisted Bijay for his second goal, sealing the win. Kiran Shankar of Letang FC pulled one back in the 63rd minute, narrowing the lead to 2-1, but despite both teams’ efforts, no further goals were scored, and Taaltalaiya Football Club clinched the trophy with the final score of 2-1.

Taaltalaiya Football Club was awarded a cash prize of NPR 2,22,222 and a beautiful silver-plated running trophy. On the other hand, Letang Football Club received NPR 1,11,111 as runners-up.

In individual awards, Taaltalaiya’s dominance continued. Sijal Rai was named the best forward, while Niwash Phuyal was awarded the best midfielder. Bijay Urau was the tournament’s top scorer. Ares Chaudhary earned the best defender award, and Niraj Chaudhary was named the best goalkeeper. The best player award went to Sabin Ghimire from Taaltalaiya Football Club.

Letang’s Khamir Glishan Kandangwa was awarded the Man of the Match for the final. The Best Emerging Player award went to Anish Raj Dhami of the organizing club, Altitude Club. All individual award winners received a cash prize of NPR 2,500 and a trophy for their outstanding performances.
