A 19-year-old teen, identified as Ajay BK, was arrested on Tuesday evening in Ghorahi, Dang, for possessing a pistol and bullets. He is originally from Kapurkot-3, Salyan, and was living near BP Chowk at the Lotus Training Center hostel.
Police recovered weapon during raid
Acting on a tip-off, a team led by Inspector Suraj Singh from Ghorahi Ward Police Office raided his hostel room and found a 0.32 caliber pistol hidden under the bed.
Ammunition also seized
According to DSP Chakrabahadur Shah, police also seized:
- 4 rounds of matching bullets
- 1 magazine with a 7-round capacity
Investigation ongoing
The suspect is currently under further investigation to determine the source and intent of possessing the firearm.
