Three people have died and two others have been seriously injured in a jeep accident at Siddheshwar, located in Rainadevi Chhahara Rural Municipality–1 of Palpa.
The accident occurred last night around 10:15 PM when a jeep (registration number Lu 1 Ja 2377) heading towards Thulapokhari via the inner road section of Asare in Siddheshwar met with an accident. According to the police, the jeep fell about 200 meters off the road, resulting in three fatalities.
The deceased have been identified as 23-year-old Janak Regami Magar, 36-year-old Dipendra Budha, and 31-year-old Chet Narayan BK, all residents of Asare in Rainadevi Chhahara–1.
Similarly, the jeep driver, 27-year-old Ranjan Reshmi, and 23-year-old Saroj Budha, both from the same area, sustained serious injuries.
The injured are undergoing treatment at Mission Hospital in Tansen, according to hospital sources. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sunil Malla from the District Police Office, Palpa, informed that an investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
