Tiger Cup Volleyball: APF Undefeated, Advances to First Qualifier


The Armed Police Force (APF) has reached the first qualifier of the Ncell Fifth Tiger Cup National and International Club Women’s and Men’s Volleyball Tournament, remaining undefeated in the women’s category.

In the final match of the league stage, APF defeated the host Tiger Group 3-0 in straight sets, securing the top position in the ‘winning group’ and advancing to the first qualifier. Tiger Group, after losing to APF, will play in the first qualifier as the group runner-up.

APF won the first set 25-7, the second set 25-17, and the third set 25-20. In the third set, after being down 11-16, Tiger Group made a comeback and brought the score to 18-17. However, APF responded and won the game 25-20. APF and Tiger Group will compete again in the first qualifier on Thursday.

Earlier today, in another match, Travel Inquiry Passion Volleyball Club from Thailand secured a consolation victory by defeating Tribhuwan Army Club 3-1 in sets.

The men’s matches will begin now. In the third match, TipTop Help Nepal Sports Club will play against the Armed Police Force APF. The fourth and final match will be between India’s Sunil Volleyball Club and Tribhuwan Army Club at 2:45 PM.

Additionally, the match between Gandaki Province and Help Nepal, which was postponed on Sunday, will be held on Thursday, as announced by the organizers.
