Tiger Cup Volleyball Organizers and APF in the Qualifiers

Pokhara — The organizing Tiger Group of Pokhara has reached the women’s qualifiers of the fifth Tiger Cup National Club Volleyball Tournament for men and women on Tuesday.

At the volleyball court of Pokhara Stadium, the organizing team defeated New Diamond Sports Club in straight sets. The organizers will now face APF in the first qualifier.

The first qualifier match has been scheduled just before the league stage. New Diamond will compete against Nepal Police Club in the eliminator. On Tuesday, Nepal Police Club advanced to the eliminator by defeating Tribhuwan Army Club. Police won the match with scores of 25–18, 25–21, and 25–19. In the second set, Police overturned Army’s lead of 16–10 to secure the win. On the women’s side, Army and the Thai team have already been eliminated.

The teams defeated in the first qualifier and the winner of the eliminator will compete in the second qualifier to reach the final.

Gandaki Defeats APF in Men’s Category

In the men’s category, Gandaki Province defeated APF 3–1 in sets. After losing the first set 23–25, Gandaki found their rhythm and won the next three sets 25–20, 25–19, and 25–15 to secure the match. Gandaki and APF will now face Help Nepal Sports Club.

In another match, Tribhuwan Army Club defeated Nepal Police Club 3–1. Army won the first set 25–13 but lost the second set 21–25. They bounced back in the third and fourth sets, winning 25–15 and 25–22 to claim the match. Army will now compete against India’s Sunil Volleyball Club on Wednesday.

Wednesday’s Fixtures

On Wednesday, in the women’s category, the Thai team will face Tribhuwan Army Club, while APF will take on the organizing Tiger Group of Pokhara. In the men’s category, Help Nepal will play against APF, and India’s Sunil Volleyball Club will compete against Tribhuwan Army Club.
