The second winter rainfall of this year is expected to begin in western Nepal from Monday night. According to meteorologists, this weather system will last until Tuesday, making it colder.
The first winter rain of this year occurred on Mangsir 23 and 24 in western Nepal.
Meteorologists predict that the upcoming rain will be light, similar to the previous one. Dr. Binod Pokharel stated that Karnali Province will likely receive more rainfall than Sudurpaschim. Other provinces may see light rain in some places and mostly cloudy skies.
The Department of Meteorology has forecasted cloudy weather in Karnali and Sudurpaschim on Sunday and Monday, with light rain possibly occurring in a few areas.
For Monday afternoon, the hilly regions of Karnali are expected to have partly cloudy skies with chances of light snowfall in some areas. There could also be light rain in a few hilly areas.
By Monday night, the mountainous regions of Karnali may see light to moderate snowfall in some places, while the hills may experience light rain.
Similarly, Sudurpaschim Province could have partly cloudy skies on Monday afternoon with light snowfall in the mountains and light rain in the hills. The Terai region is expected to remain mostly clear.
