Tourism State Minister Arun Chaudhary, who represents the Nagarik Unmukti Party (Naupa), is set to submit his resignation today at 5 PM.
According to Naupa Chairperson Ranjita Shrestha, Chaudhary will visit Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s residence in Baluwatar this evening to formally hand over his resignation letter.
She confirmed the move, saying, “We have decided to leave the government and sit in the opposition. That’s why the state minister will meet the prime minister at 5 PM and submit his resignation.”
The decision to exit the government was made during the party’s parliamentary meeting held on Saturday.
Arun Chaudhary currently serves as Minister of State for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation in the federal government on behalf of Naupa.
