Two men have been arrested for filming an explicit video of a person and using it to blackmail and defame the victim.
The arrested individuals are Sujan Bhujel (29) and Bipal Rai (21), both from Shadananda Municipality-1, Bhojpur. They were caught by a team from the District Police Office, Sankhuwasabha.
According to police spokesperson Inspector Abhishek Kumar Shrestha, the duo had recorded private videos and photos of the victim without consent. They allegedly sent the materials to relatives and threatened to make them public unless demands were met.
The police have started an investigation on charges of cybercrime and criminal benefit against both individuals.
