Police in Biratnagar have arrested two individuals with a large quantity of brown sugar, a type of illegal narcotic drug.
According to DSP Kopila Chudal, spokesperson for District Police Office, Morang, the arrest took place on Saturday night at Malaya Road, Biratnagar Metropolitan City–14.
Police recovered 174 grams and 31 milligrams of brown sugar from the suspects:
- Roshanlal Mahato (23) of Biratnagar-12
- Pawan Kumar Yadav (21) of Araria, Bihar, India
A motorbike with plate number Ko 30 Pa 410 was also seized during the arrest.
Police suspect that Pawan brought the drugs from India and handed them over to Roshan. Further investigation is currently underway.
