Two Arrested Over Teenagers' Deaths in Achham Forest

The police have arrested two individuals for an investigation into the incident where two teenagers were found dead in Achham.

The police have reported that two individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident where 15-year-old Saraswati Khadka and 14-year-old Ishara Khadka from Palsataki of Dhakari-8 were found dead in the forest of Chhinne, Dhakari Gaupalika-1.

District Police Office Achham’s spokesperson, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ishwari Bhandari, stated that two individuals who had gone grazing with the deceased teenagers have been taken into custody for investigation. Their identities have not been disclosed as they are under 20 years old.

Both teenagers had gone missing after leaving their homes to graze goats on Saturday. They were found dead during the search operation.

Their bodies, which had severe injuries to the head and body, have been sent to Bheri Provincial Hospital for post-mortem examination.

The police are also conducting the investigation using trained dogs.

The relatives of the deceased have demanded a thorough investigation, stating that the incident is suspicious.

During the preliminary investigation, the police found that the bodies were discovered on a slope above the area, and a large boulder had fallen from above near the bodies.

Although it appears that the falling boulder caused the injuries, the police have stated that more details will be revealed in the post-mortem report.
