Bardiya police arrested two individuals in possession of illegal drugs on Thursday afternoon from Karnalipur in Badaiyatal Rural Municipality–7.
Who Were Arrested
The arrested are 22-year-old Akash Bahadur Magar and 28-year-old Devsingh Thakuri, both residents of Padariya in Badaiyatal–7. They were stopped while entering Nepal suspiciously from the Indian side near Balaigaun Bazar.
What Police Found
Police found 1 gram of brown sugar (a type of narcotic drug) hidden on them during a search. The suspects were taken into custody immediately.
Investigation in Progress
They are currently being held at Area Police Office Mainapokhari under a 5-day judicial remand for further investigation, according to DSP Chakrabahadur Damarpal from Bardiya District Police Office.
