Two individuals, including a ward member, lost their lives in a tractor accident in Bhojpur district on Saturday night.
According to Bhojpur District Police Office, the accident occurred in Setibagar of Ward No. 3, when a tractor (registration number Province 1–02–003 Ta 1124) transporting manure from Bokhim, Ward No. 5 of Bhojpur Municipality, lost control and crashed.
The deceased have been identified as 52-year-old Nir Prasad Phuyal, a ward member of Bhojpur Municipality-5, and 55-year-old Bhakta Bahadur Thapa, both residents of the same ward.
District Police Chief Yubaraj Timilsina confirmed the fatalities and stated that an investigation into the cause of the incident is ongoing. The tractor driver has been taken into custody for further inquiry.
