Police in Bardibas, Mahottari have arrested two men transporting a large quantity of marijuana hidden in a vehicle.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team from Bardibas Area Police and the Narcotics Control Bureau intercepted a white Scorpio (Ba 11 Cha 3494) at Bardibas Chowk on the East-West Highway. Upon inspection, they found 30 packets of marijuana (weighing 150 kg) hidden beneath the back seat.
The arrested individuals are 35-year-old Lalbabu Sah from Hariyon-5, Ghurkaul, and 21-year-old Abhishek Pariyar from Hariyon-3, Sarlahi. Both were in the vehicle at the time of the bust.
The vehicle has been seized and further investigation is underway, according to DSP Shailendra Kumar Bhatta.
